The Boston Red Sox are a major league baseball team. The Red Sox are located in Boston, Massachusetts and having its home ballpark at Fenway Park, the team has constantly climbed up the American League eastern division. The Sox are consistently playing night in and night out in order to win another World Series. Having won the World Series in 2007, the Boston Red Sox have been a dominate team. All of them together boosted the chances of the Boston Red Sox to no end. Veteran Sean Casey was added at the last moment to lead the team. The Boston Red Sox played rather well in the start and even topped Al East but with time, they succumbed and the injury list kept mounting. Mid way into the season the team began to struggle. Baseball Left Fielders ? The Best of the 1960s

The 1960s were blessed with a legion of good-hitting left fielders … in both major leagues.

Here are the top 10 left fielders of that decade, based on a combination of their offensive prowess and their stellar defense.

1. Lou Brock – Brock was the spark plug for a St. Louis Cardinals team that won it all in 1964. Playing in 103 games after being acquired from the Cubs, Brock hit .348 and scored 84 runs, with 9 triples, 12 home runs, 44 RBIs and 33 stolen bases. Brock finished his career with 3,023 hits and, at the time, the career record for stolen bases with 938.

2. Carl Yastrzemski – For 23 seasons, all with the Boston Red Sox, Carl Yastrzemski owned left field in Fenway Park. During the 1960s, Yaz won 3 batting titles, a Triple Crown and MVP in 1967, and 5 Gold Gloves.

3. Rocky Colavito - Colavito played outfield for 6 different teams during the 1960s. He hit 45 home runs with 140 RBIs for Detroit in 1961, and led the American

How to find sophisticated Boston Red Sox merchandise online

Boston Red Sox are one of the most illustrated Major League Baseball teams and are a member of the American League Eastern Division. The team’s home ballpark is Fenway Park since 1912. The Boston Red Sox have gone though the longest championship droughts in baseball history, which ended in 2004. They have now emerged as one of the most successful MLB teams of the last decade.

Boston Red Sox have seven World Series titles under its belt. The team won World Series titles in 2007, 2004, 1918, 1916, 1915, 1912 and 1903. The long gap in the titles from 1918 to 2007 is said to be the curse of Babe Ruth. A legendary player listed in the Hall of Fame, Babe Ruth played for the Boston Red Sox for a long time. However, in 1919 when Ruth asked for a massive salary hike, Frazee, team’s owner back then, sold Babe Ruth to the rival New York Yankees. The ‘BoSox’ faced a series of losses while the Yankees won several games because of Ruth. The curse is said to be broken now

Basic Eye Care For Lifestyle Pressure

For Athletes:  Keep in mind that an athlete may at rest need protection against injuries during contact sports, no issue which type of vision correction he chooses. If there is any menace of being hit by a fast-moving ball or other object as in racquetball, squash, hockey, etc., eye protection is extremely-advocated, whether you are wearing contacts or not. A polycarbonate eye-guard will not bend vision.

While some makers have developed contact lenses that offer protection from ultraviolet rays, many lenses do not. In any case, sunglasses or dark goggles should be worn to protect the eyes in sunlight outdoors, above all in such sports as swimming, skiing or ice-skating where they may be a lot of glare.

Performers & Actors: contact-lenses on stage, Contact lenses make available a double advantage to the active lifestyles of performers, who may require changing or improving their look while dancing, acting or participating in dramatic activities that

The History Of The New England Patriots

The Pats are the darling professional football team of sports fans in the Greater Boston area. They used to be called the Boston Patriots but the owners changed the name in 1971 after they moved the team to Foxborough, Massachusetts. The Pats have been around since 1959 when Bostonian Billy Sullivan was awarded the eighth and final franchise of the developing then AFL. The area fans were allowed to submit name suggestions for the new team the most popular choice was the one that Sullivan finally selected The Boston Patriots.

For the longest time the Pats never had a regular home stadium. They used Nickerson field, Fenway Park, Harvard Stadium, and Alumni Stadium when they were part of the AFL. They did have a winning season in 1963 and played against the San Diego Chargers and lost 51-10. They didnt make any post-season appearances again for another 13 years.

Mlb Tickets – 2010 American League Predictions

Here is how I predict things will shape up in the American League in 2010.

East Champion – New York Yankees: The reigning champs return as the favorites in the AL East after a solid offseason.  The Yanks spent like crazy two offseasons ago, but were more fiscally responsible in 2010, landing players via trade and smaller free agent signings.  Curtis Granderson was a nice addition to the lineup and outfield, while Javier Vasquez could end up being the best third starter in the majors this season.  Andy Pettitte will give the rotation some stability and the Yanks have major upside in Phil Hughes.  With a stacked lineup, a top-tier starting rotation and a good bullpen, there’s no reason to think they won’t win the division.  <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/mlb-tickets/”>MLB tickets tickets</a> to see the Bronx Bombers should be as popular as ever in
